threading hair removal

Threading hair removal is an interesting way to have hair removed.  Called khite in Arabic and fatlah in Egyptian, threading hair removal is a less common method in the west for removing hair at the root.  Used primarily on the facial hair the practitioner holds one end of the cotton thread in his or her teeth and the other in the left hand.  The middle is looped through the index and middle fingers of the right hand.

The technician then uses the loop to trap a series of unwanted hairs and pull them from the skin.  There are also devices made that will hold the thread during the procedure.  Threading hair removal is an inexpensive, fast, neat and less painful method than plucking hair for sure.

Threading hair removal is excellent for removing hair from eyebrows and other facial hair. Like plucking, the results usually last from two to four weeks before a repeat is necessary.
